Steven R. Wellborn is senior fellow of turbomachinery systems at Rolls-Royce. He has held several leadership positions within the company, culminating as the Director of DaVinci. He has focused on the design and service of aircraft engines, and drives the virtual-engine and digital-twin capabilities. He is a member of ASME and AIAA and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). He received the RAeS Gold Award in 2008.
